Helen “Ginger” Gies, nee Carroll, age 84, of Lisle. Beloved wife of the late Henry; loving mother of Maureen (Michael) Dogan, Michael (Nancy) Gies, Matthew (Barbara) Gies, Mark (Julie) Gies, Catherine “Kate” (Edward) Kennedy devoted grandmother of Michelle, Michael, Michael Jr., K.C., Annie, Sean, Sophie, Abby, Colin, Ian, Eddie, Jack, and Grace; fond sister of the late Mary (the late Raymond) McMahon, Georgia (Daniel) Canniff; aunt of many nieces and nephews.
