Obituary for William Adair

William Adair, age 91, of Lombard. Loving husband to the late Loretta Adair, nee Lenoir; dear father of William (Linda), Ben, Roy (Jen) Adair; beloved grandpa of Lauren (Derrick), Ryan (Denice), Elisabeth (Fiancé Barnes), Justin (Fiancé Amanda), Adam, Christopher (Dalin), Philip (Kayly) and Sean (Erin); devoted great-grandpa to Wyatt, William, Declan, Dominic, Loretta and Cooper; fond brother of the late Octavia (the late Steven) Eklund and the late Dorothy (the late Sandy) St. Clair; uncle of many nieces and nephews. William excelled as a manufacturing company president and was a patented inventor. He was a WWII veteran, an avid reader, pilot, scuba diver, poet, ham radio operator, sound engineer, woodworker and a skilled lock picker. He also sang choral music and played the French horn and served as a Deacon and Elder.
Visitation Wednesday, March 28, 3-9 PM at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Rd. (3 blks. S. of Roosevelt Rd) Lombard. Funeral Service Thursday, 10 AM at the funeral home.
