Obituary for Janet Kepplinger

Janet Kepplinger, nee Thiemann, age 87, of Lombard. Beloved wife of Douglas Kepplinger; loving mother of Lynn (Ron) Risty, Kathy (Howard) Mitchell, and Karen Kepplinger Krantz; devoted grandmother of Carmen (Lonnie) Kastens, Jacob (Noelle) Egge, Brett (Sarah) Egge, Emily Mitchell, Justin Egge, Natalie (Clark) Battle, Brendon Krantz, Blake Krantz, and Katie Mitchell; cherished great-grandmother of Hudson and Sydney Egge, and Andrew and Benjamin Kastens; special aunt of Ross (Bridget) Reagan and Gail (Chris) Lindsay, and cousin of Jayne Schommer.

Janet was a committed and compassionate registered nurse. She worked for over 20 years at LaGrange Memorial Hospital and Suburban Hospital in Hinsdale. She lived and shared her faith through her relationship with family, friends, and all those around her. Jan shared her faith by serving in various church ministries and Bible Study Fellowship. In Jan’s own words, “To sum up my life and thoughts, I thank the LORD daily for our many blessings and also for being by our side every step of the way down life’s path.”

Memorial Service Saturday, November 3rd, at 1:30 PM at Peace Lutheran Church, 21W500 Butterfield Rd, Lombard. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Peace Lutheran Church are appreciated. Service info: www.knollcrest.net or 630-932-1500.
